When not with his wife, Alex-Ross likes to hang out with his kids, which, now that they’re all teenagers, requires booking in advance. They can beat him at a couple of video games, but never at a fighting game: Street Fighter and King of Fighters remain undefeated dad territory. He also works on his videogame backlog (currently playing Persona 5 while counting down the days to GTA VI) and geeks the heck out of stuff.

Currently reading “The Secret of Secrets” by Dan Brown.

What you’ll find here

This blog started as a home for Alex-Ross’s takes on the Daily Coding Problem exercises. Those are still here, collected in their own series, but the blog is growing into something bigger: a place to share what he’s learning and excited about in tech.

  • AI: what’s new, what’s useful, and what’s just hype
  • Quick starts to get you up and running with new tools
  • Tips and news from the world of software

How this site is built

The blog runs on Jekyll and started out on its default Minima theme. From there, Alex-Ross gave it a look of its own (dark mode included) and added full English and Spanish support, so every post can be read in either language. It’s hosted on GitHub Pages.
